Roseville finished the Class 6A regular season with a 4-4 record after defeating Coon Rapids 24-14 on Friday night. The result granted the Raiders the Metro Maroon subdistrict title and marked their best performance since 2017. Senior quarterback Chase Browning directed the offense with 162 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Browning described the outcome as an amazing feeling, noting that the team's hard work was finally paying off.
Mounds View claimed the Metro East subdistrict title by defeating White Bear Lake 22-16. The Mustangs overcame a two-point deficit in the final minute. Quarterback Tanner Jude ran for a touchdown with 65 seconds remaining and added a successful two-point conversion to extend the lead. Preston Johnson intercepted a pass on the following White Bear Lake possession to secure the victory. The Mounds View defense limited White Bear Lake quarterback Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.
Lakeville South upset Rosemount 17-14 in the most dramatic finish of the night. Sophomore kicker Dylan Nelson kicked a 36-yard field goal with one second left on the clock. The win complicates the seeding landscape for the south metro in the upcoming playoffs. Earlier in the evening, Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Rangers to a 31-13 win over Stillwater.
Jurkovich, who committed to St. Thomas, concluded the regular season with 1,600 rushing yards. The victory positions the Rangers for a No. 2 seed in the Class 6A playoffs. In other results, Centennial defeated Anoka 38-6, likely securing a No. 3 seed for the Cougars. Anoka's six points represented the first time this season the team was held to single digits.
East Ridge defeated rival Woodbury 42-31 to close its regular season. Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns, while Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. Park defeated Eastview 18-10 with junior receiver Manny Vargas scoring twice. Vargas caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt 75 yards for another score. These results conclude the East Metro regular season schedule for the 2026 campaign.
